MYTH #1
carpet cleaning shrinks carpet
When carpets were made of lots of natural fibers, shrinking was a major concern. Today most carpets are made of synthetic materials, reducing the risk of shrinking to almost nothing. It's always a good idea to know your carpet type and the manufacturer's instructions for it. One thing that could cause shrinkage would be an overly wet carpet after your technician is finished cleaning. Reputable companies and technicians don't allow this to happen.(By us using the Rotovac here at God's way cleaning, we get the carpet 20-50% dryer than other companies that use hot water extraction) Even so, it's a good idea to check your carpet's wetness before the tech leaves your home. Express concerns if you have them. And be sure to hire a reputable company to clean your carpets. Bottom Line: For most carpets, the risk of shrinking is almost nothing. Hiring a reputable company makes all the difference in your satisfaction.

MYTH #2                                                                                                 once you clean a carpet, it gets dirtier faster                                                          We deal with mostly synthetic fibers in carpet and repeated professional cleaning does not make it attract soil. The primary reason a carpet resoils more rapidly is that leftover cleaning residues attract soil from our shoes. You have several carpet cleaning methods to choose from: Bonnet, Dry Foam, Dry Compound and Hot Water Extraction (steam cleaning). Most carpet cleaning systems are considered interim maintenance cleaning systems however, other systems, such as the Rotovac & Rotovac360 are regarded as restorative by the industry.Only hot water extraction (stem cleaning) can employ a rinse step to leave your carpets as residue free as possible.(We use the Rotovac carpet restoration powerwand because with SIX vacuum slots and SIX spray jets that rotate at 250 rpm too produce 1500 multi-directional cleaning passes per minute leftover residue is virtually non-exsistant!) Try doing that with a manual wand!

MYTH #3
All a company needs to clean carpets correctly is the right equipment                           Many cleaning companies own professional carpet cleaning equipment, however, the technicians are not professionally trained on the proper ways to use the equipment. Make sure the cleaning company you choose has technicians who are trained by certified carpet instructors. (God's way cleaning owner Channing Richardson is proud to be I.I.C.R.Certified! Trained by the Institute of Inspection,Cleaning&Restoration! They set the standards companies are supposed to ad hear to,sad to say MOST companies don't, but proudly WE DO!)

MYTH #4                                                                                                   YOU SHOULD HOLD OFF CLEANING YOUR CARPET AS LONG AS POSSIBLE                              Dirt is like sandpaper. It damages your carpet. The more often you have your carpets cleaned, the longer they will last. Industry standards recommend that you clean your carpets every 6 to 12 months, depending on your lifestyle.

All carpet cleaning companies are the same, hire the cheapest one          Some companies quote a low price in an ad or over the phone to persuade you to use their service, but then they add on services you thought were included in the price.(usually after they've done the work)This is commonally known as BAIT & SWITCH. It's like being quoted a sale price on a new car and after you sign on the dotted line they charge you extra for the keys!! See video below!! (God's Way cleaning may not ALWAYS be the cheapest but it's hard to beat $20 an area honestly because what we quote you pay.
